On January 16, 2025, wpd Korea participated in Boryeong City’s Carbon Neutrality Vision Declaration event held at the Boryeong Arts Center, expressing its strong commitment to supporting sustainable energy transition. This event celebrated the 30th anniversary of the integration of Boryeong County and Daecheon City and marked Boryeong’s vision to become South Korea’s leading carbon-neutral city.

Boryeong City presented three core visions: achieving greenhouse gas reduction and carbon neutrality, establishing an energy green city, and advancing as a global marine leisure tourism city. In alignment with this vision, wpd Korea expressed its dedication to contributing to Boryeong’s energy transition and carbon neutrality goals through the development of onshore wind farms.
